AFESSSSST! 2010!!

This anime Convention was absolutely MIND BLOWING! I got to spend time with SO MANY AMAZING PEOPLE! Far too many to name anyway. Next year I'm going, Hell or high water I'm going.
FRIDAY!
Woke up at around 5:40 AM to
in my face telling me to wakey wakey. Looked at my desk to see my nurse head staring down at me, scared me awake. Packed my stuff with :iconsorceresskassandra: and 
and set off for Texas. On the drive up I drifted in and out of being awake and asleep until we stopped somewhere near Joplin for Mcdonalds for breakfast. Almost got killed by Nemesis Prime (black semi truck that decided it needed to back up and almost run us over...) we jammed to pokemon and Zelda music, took wrong turns and had to pay stupid tolls in Oklahoma. Found Nemesis prime, this time getting some truck on truck on truck action. (Nemesis was like the pyramid head of the truck world!!!...well actually it he was just towing two semi trucks but it was fun to make fun of!) Anyway we got down to Dallas where Started to get REALLY Antsy because we were cutting it close to the deadline to enter walk-ons and we were stuck in CRAZY-ASS-FUCKING-DALLAS-TRAFFIC! If you've never been to Texas, Lemme tell ya, Dallas drivers are crazy! Everything you hear about them is true. WE finally made it to the hotel, got all of our stuff into the room/ hotel apartment. Hugged the necks of 
and 
and Eric ^^. I jumped into my Nurse cosplay with 
's heather and we ran around the con center. Its a beautiful hotel!!!! WE registered and were on our way. WE went to the Masquerade where

all won stuff! THeir costumes were FANTASTIC! I also got to reunite with some new friends I made at Ikkicon. IT was great. We ended up crashing and hanging out in the room after a while.
SATURDAY
Woke up around 9am for our POkemon shoot with
Our private shoot was rather big for a private shoot and we had a BLAST! Everyone's cosplays were amazing! :iconsorceresskassandra: and I duced out early to check the dealers room and then hopped into some nice normal clothing. I didn't do as much cosplaying as I thought I would this con, but I'm not upset about it.I ended up taking a nap because I was so exhausted. After my nappy nap I woke up to Sarah and Kayla having ordered pizza (yum!!!) After nomming on some pieces I went back to the con. I found 
and and proceeded to hang out with them ^^. I got towed along with Mike/Bato to 
and 's Surprise party and while I didn't know them very well I'm very glad I got to be part of it. After surprising Heather and Hope I skittered off to the Silent Hill shoot with and we met up with the AMAZING group for our shoot with 
. Things went well until the cops showed up and told mike to stop taking pictures for a moment. One of the cops showed up and took a quick pic with us then they left. The theory is that they didn't want to get caught doing silly things on duty? Idk. This other skeevey woman showed up in the middle of the shoot which was annoying and creepy. Anyway we skipped off after that and I headed back to the room to change for the rave.When I got back to the room I got to meet 
new friends = YAY!!!! The rave was AWESOME!!! I got to Dance, to twirl some glowsticks, and to hang out with my family =3. Then we went back to the room and craaaashed.
SUNDAY
Sunday we changed back into pokemon for the public shoot. Things went swimmingly until we got Digibombed (Oh no!) A HUGE fight broke out between pokemon and Digimon, the carnage was immense! I beat down one of those digi destened with my geodude! I barely made it out alive with my crew. Well actually no, we all giggled and took pictures of digimon vs pokemon...no actual fighting. lol. :iconsorceresskassandra: and I bowed out and chanced into Tales cosplay to meet up with the Cosbrigade and go to the Tales shoot. Everything was great until my binding started to make me sick. I headed back to the room for another like...three hour nap. I didn't change back into anything. Instead I went to the skit masquerade with my friends. I was completely blown away by the quality of the masquerade too! Shit it was so good! the MC seemed a little bit douchy at times but he did his job well. and 's Kingdom hearts skit won best in show for OBVIOUS reasons. If you haven't seen it.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8ZWK8… DO IT NOW! Every skit I liked won something! I was super happy! We hopped around and danced and had more bro time after the masquerade until we went back to sleep.
MONDAY
We did another once around the dealers, I successfully didn't empty my wallet there! (huzzah!) and we headed home. On the way back we saw Nemesis prime again but then WE FOUND THE OSCAR MEYER WEENIER MOBILE!!!! We followed it and made it honk, then things died down. We made the 'its a football!' reference and raced now and then if we got bored but the trip home was more tiring than anything. We got back to Springfield and got all unpacked and stuff and proceeded to pass out from the excitement.
VERDICT.
Well I said I was going back right? I wasn't kidding. I had so much fun at this convention, I met new friends and met up with old ones. I got closer to my family. I got to have fun and am still experiencing the post-con high even now, a week later! I can't believe that con was only four days, I feel like I spent months there. Anyway before I get all disgustingly sentimental I'll sign out =3 Ta~

Anime Iowa, this con is one that I frequent and I have never had a bad time at. The location is beautiful, the staff are always very kind, and the dealers room usually robs my wallet more than I wish It did. This year was no different however there was some drama I wish wouldn't have happened.
Thursday: Malinda, Amanda, and myself had something of a sleepover then we got up and headed up to
's house and derped around until 
and 
and :iconkatsumi-kamigawa: showed up and we took off. We drove to Iowa and managed to get there in the evening. WE spent most of the time working on wigs and the like. Then I showed Amanda and Malinda around Iowa, told them where everything was and we got to hang out and get to know each other better.
Friday: I changed into my nurse and got in line, took half an hour to an hour to get my badge (I pre-registered) and ran around as a silent hill nurse. I just derped around and saw Malidna and Amanda and Shannon until I changed into Girlycard for the Hellsing shoot. It was a fun shoot. There was a six year old Alucard! then the drama happened.....I wont say names but what I do have to say is this - my family is my family, you fuck with them and you're in trouble. Watching and :iconsorveresscassandra: come back to the room emotional and in tears, that's NOT EVER ok. I dont like dealing with the fallout of my friends being torn up by someone making a total ass of themself. -
Saturday: Flipflopped between nurse and girlycard, entered the masquerade. Enjoyed the people in the masquerade, HATED how long it was. Went to the rave and had a kickass time dancing.
sunday: Got up, raided the dealers, went home happy.
